I begin this column with formal notice of our Tenth Reunion which is slated for the weekend of June 18-20, 1993. While I know that if you do the math our tenth should be in 1994, Alumni Affairs decided it would be more fun to have our Tendi Reunion nine years out in a joint celebration with the '82s (who celebrate their tenth reunion 11 years out) and '83s (who celebrate ten years out). I know this all gets rather confusing, so to make sure everyone has it straight, we will prepare for the big event with a trial minireunion on Saturday, October 31 during die Harvard-Dartmouth football game in Boston. Our class will co-sponsor a tent with the '82s and '83s from 12-6 p.m. near the stadium. Volunteers are desperately needed for both the mini-reunion and the real thing. Contact Leigh Miller Garry, our Tenth Reunion chair, at (914) 833-7601 for more info.

As you may have guessed, I would not agree to print such-an unabashed plug without extracting some current news from Leigh. Faced with an unpublicized reunion, she had little choice but to tell me that she lives in Larchmont, N.Y., with her husband, Rob '80 (who did get to celebrate his Tenth Reunion ten years out), and Elizabeth 3 and JP 1. When not planning the reunion or spending time with her family, Leigh studies law at St. John's, where she'll start her second year this fall. Leigh said she hears from a number of classmates, including a couple who have not appeared in the column recently: SisselWivestad, who, after graduating from Columbia Journalism School, is living in New York and working as a newswriter for a division of CNN; and Kim Ogden, who is still working for Bain in Boston. When I called Kim to follow-up, she told me that she and husband Frank recently bought a house in Sudbury which they share with sons Brandon (six months) and Alex (two years).

When I got Peter Montgomery on the phone it took a while to convince him I was not asking for money. Once satisfied, Peter told me he's working in Doylestown, Pa.,45 miles north of Philadelphia, as a captain for an auto-auctioneer run by Tom Tracy '81. Peter said that, while moonlighting as a waiter at a local inn, he saw Rick Leary and his wife, who stopped by for dinner. He said Rick is doing his residency in Philadelphia after having completed medical school in Ireland. I also spoke to Paul Graham who lives in White Plains with his wife of six years, Beth Russo Graham '86. Paul is a portfolio manager for Value Line where he plays the market for his institutional investors, "focusing mainly on small company stocks. Paul spends his spare time playing tennis and getting involved in a number of community activities. He recently spoke with Cody Laumeister and MarkHansen. Cody recently moved from Chicago to Boston to work for a computer broker. Mark lives in West Lebanon with wife Jennifer and their three kids, and he runs his own accounting firm. I also heard from Jodi Danzig, who graduated from Yale Law School in May. She wrote that she plans to move back to New York "so I can spend lots of time with my new niece Casey. She added, "I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the Tenth Reunion next summer.

With yet another plug for our reunion, I will close.Till next we talk.
