I visited with Wendy and Jim Tonkovich and family in August. Tonks was just back from leading a Boy Scout troop on a trip Washington, D.C., and the National Jamboree in Virginia. As I recall, Jim is also a member of the Hartford, Vt., school committee, just in case you were worried he wouldn't be busy enough after his stint as class president.

Joe Grasso was recently sworn in as an associate superior court justice in Massachusetts. Joe was formerly chief judge of die Lowell District Court. An article in the Lowell Sun described Joe as someone who was "a very tough judge...very even-handed and fair in his decisions." We always knew that.

John Engelman, our mini-reunion chair, reports that the class of 1967 has invited us to join them again for a New York minireunion on April 30, 1994. The event will include dinner and a new Neil Simon show, Laughter on the 23rd. Floor, directed by Jerry Zaks '67. Mark your calendar now. Judging from the success of the event held earlier this year in New York, this should prove to be another memorable mini-reunion.

While some of us become slaves to statistics and others become statistics, Dr. GeorgeW. Cobb of Mount Holyoke College is a professor of statistics. The Corporation for Regional Economic Development of Norwich, Conn., has named Cedric Kam as director. With experience in commercial real estate, public policy, and planning, Cedric was formerly an investment officer with Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Co.

After Dartmouth, Tom earned his Ph.D. and M.D. at Stanford University. A resident of Palo Alto, Calif., Tom is president, CEO, and chief scientist of Applied Immune Science of Santa Clara.

From Cambridge, Mass., comes news that Calvin Jones has been promoted to managing vice president at ABT Associates, a firm which provides economic and statistical research and management consulting to governments and corporations worldwide. Calvin is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Chicago.

Herman Dreier is now VP-finance and CFO for Vanguard Automation Inc. in Tucson, Ariz. He reports his family has grown with the addition of Robert Andrew, a.k.a. "Wolfie," now age one and counting.

Dr. Steve Reiss and his family of four (spouse Maggi, Michael 11, and Ben 6) are enjoying Columbus, Ohio. Steve is a professor of psychology and psychiatry and director of the Nisanger Center at Ohio State University.
