Take a close look at the “New Arrivals” section of your local video store next June (you might want to cut this article out and hang it on the ’fridge if that’ll help you remember). The reason I admonish you to do this is that our own Julie Davis’s first film will be coming out on video at that time. She wrote and directed the erotic horror film entitled Witchcraft VI, in which Jenny Bransford plays a terrorized secretary. Ever the patriotic one, Julie quipped, “I learned everything I know at Dartmouth.” She’s living in Los Angeles, of course. Maybe she’s invented a new genre?

From the Daily Times Chronicle of Read- ing, Mass., comes news that classmate Jen-nifer Armstrong was awarded a Devlin Med- ical Scholarship last July. This is actually her second Devlin scholarship. Jen is now in her junior year at U-Mass Medical School and intends to become a pediatric oncologist. She recently worked as a research assistant for the department of medicine’s exercise phys- iology and nutrition center at U-Mass Worces- ter. The newspaper reported the ceremonies were held at the China Moon Restaurant in Stoneham, Mass.

From the Mount Vernon (Ohio) News comes news that John Rehling is now researching artificial intelligence in Trento, Italy. The research is part of his Ph.D. pro- gram in computer science at Indiana Uni- versity.

From die Foreign Service comes news of Derrick Olsen and Edward Harrison. Der- rick and Ed were in the same class of offi- cers for the U.S. Department of Stare. Der- rick’s been posted to the American Embassy in Guatemala. He and his wife, Rebecca, spent six months in intensive Spanish train- ing before heading off. His address: Unit 3308, American Embassy Guatemala, APO AA 34024, Ed was posted to the embassy in Bonn, Germany. His address: American Embassy Bonn, Consular Section, Unit 21701, APO AE 09080. Each will serve a two- year term. Derrick recendy met up with Ernie Young, Mike Kim, and AndrewLatimer at Yale.

Jay Davis wrote in to confirm that he is not a Tuck student this year. I guess the offi- cial Kimball Union Academy stationery’s sup- posed to prove that. Jay’s teaching English, coaching, and dorm parenting at the acade- my while living in Meriden, N.H., with wife Julie (formerly Sanders) ’9l. Julie’s in her third year at Dartmouth Medical School. Thanks for understanding, Jay.

David’s House of Hanover, N.H., sent notification of a sizeable gift pledged in honor of our class by Bill Levin. David’s House pro- vides a place to stay for families with children being treated at Mary Hitchcock Hospital. Bill was very active with David’s House during our undergraduate years as the originator of a group called the Wishing Well, which pro- vides funds and volunteers for gifts to the children housed at David’s House. Bill’s gift on behalf of our class will go toward the cam- paign to move to a new facility on the grounds of the new medical center this spring. David’s House is located at P.O. Box 768, Hanover, N.H. 03755.

Some final thoughts from your class sec- retary (me). Do you, like me, have a sense that our class has not been doing enough lately? Are you content with the way things are going, or would you like to see the class do more? I’d like to know what you are thinking and will pass your comments on to other mem- bers of our class executive committee. Please don’t be shy. Send along ideas for mini- reunions—anything from a museum tour to a bar tour is eligible for consideration. Your thoughts will not be published, unless you specifically ask that they do.

As you go about your busy lives this holi- day season, please take some time out to update the rest of us about your goings-on. Write it down, stamp it, and mail it. See, it’s that simple!

Happy holidays.
