From the U.S. District Court in Anchorage comes the exciting news that JohnSedwick became U.S. district judge for the District of Alaska last fall. Further south, fellow attorney Buddy Noel was profiled in an October edition of the Denver Business Journal. Buddyis currendy president and CEO of the Colorado Sports Council in Denver.
Ronald Hinckley released a new book in December. Having worked in and around Washington for years, Ron now serves as director of research at the U.S. Information Agency. His book, entitled People, Polls andPolicymakers: American Public Opinion and National Security, offers a close look at the relationship between American public opinion and contemporary national security affairs.
There is a new '68 on the Dartmouth Alumni Council, Chip Green, who will represent Region V, District 3, of the southern states. Chip is currently dean of library services at the University of South Carolina in Spartenburg. He also lists among his credits the presidency of the Western Carolinas Dartmouth Club.
Larry Griffith has been appointed general manager of Kimble Glass Inc., a unit of Owens-Illinois Inc., for which Larry has been a vice president and director since 1990. Because Kimble Glass is located in Vineland, N.J., I suspect a Griffith family move from Ohio is in the offing or may already have taken place.
Cliff Groen advises me that he has moved again, this time to the legal department of International Finance Corporation (IFC), located in Washington, D.C. As the investment-banking affiliate of The World Bank, IFC includes attorneys from many different countries.
Finally, Ron Weiss wrote recently to tell me that Peter Dunn and his associates have reacquired their San Francisco-based company, Edgar, Dunn, and Company, and that they have opened a London office. Peter has also been named head of the board of trustees of the Head Royce School in Oakland, Calif., a private K-12 day school.
