The Guinness Brewery in Dublin, Ireland, was the site of Jane Varner's recent efforts to acquire a taste for Guinness at its all-you-can-drink pub. Where else would one go after quitting a job after two and a half years as art director for an international travel-management company? Jane is currendy taking a year-long trip around the world with a friend from work who, I presume, also quit his or her job. They were in town for the St. Patrick's Day parade. Last I heard, Jane and friend were heading out to the Irish countryside to find, as she put it, "possible relatives." Let us know how you made out there, Jane.

Another '90 who's got the two-and-one- half-years-of-working-here blues is SarahJacobson. She'll be looking for any '9os in the area when she starts her program in June at the Monterey Institute of International Studies. There Sarah will be pursuing a master's in international policy studies and Russian. Sarah is looking for people to get involved in the New York Dartmouth Alumni Community Service Project. She needs someone to replace her as chair when she leaves New York. Also, she could use some organizational help. If you're interested, or you would like to tutor or do other volunteer work along with other Dartmouth alums, please call Sarah at (212) 582-5623 (work). She'll leave New York in late May, and then she'll be reachable in Lexington, Mass., until she heads out to California.

John Nies was recently promoted to the position of principal at Talisman Inc., an international strategy-consulting firm in Boston. John joined the company last year after leaving Bain & Company.

Rachael Winfiree is working as an acquir- ing editor at Cambridge University Press in New York City. She's living in Princeton, N.J., with her boyfriend, who is a professor at Princeton, and his kids. "Most exciting to me, my mare is expecting a foal next month (March)," she writes.

Becky Baggett is teaching a class in women's studies at the University of Alabama in Tuskaloosa while pursuing a master's in that field.

Jamie Goodman is pursuing a Ph.D. in environmental engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and he skied with TedCarleton during the winter. Last I heard from Ted, he was off to cover the Frank Sinatra Classic golf tournament, I think.

More of our classmates are tying the knot, and you heard it here! Ramzi Nemo and Kim Pierce '9l were recendy engaged. Susan Klein is also reportedly engaged to her longtime boyfriend, whose name my source would not reveal, as she put it, "for fear of Canadian retribution" (I think that's a secret code that's supposed to tip us off to who he really is). JonSullivan will marry this summer.

Believe it or not, we are nearing the end of our third year out of Dartmouth. This is the perfect time for you to contact your humble class secretary with news of the changes in your life. Not only does this column offer you an excellent way to let your classmates know where you are and what you've been doing lately, but these words are also widely read by the whole Dartmouth alumni body, especially members of those classes closest to ours.

So, even if you don't miss the Hop cafe's spicy fries, please send me some news. I promise to make it worth your time and effort.
