We learned from the College only recently that Bill Andrus of West Townsend, Vt., died back in 1991 on September 5. More recently, on February 24, we lost Jack Haley. Obits to follow.
Although it has been duly reported in 39 Out, it is worth repeating here that our class won the Class of the Year award for the second time, which, if not a record, certainly ties the record. As if this was not enough, Treasurer Cornwall Miller was recognized as Class Treasurer of the Year. To top it off, Peter Cardozo received recognition for his fine work with 39 Out.
While on the subject of awards, we'll duplicate just a bit more to reprise the fact that Bob MacLeod came east to receive the Distinguished American Award from the New Hampshire Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame. The presenter of the award was 1939's Man of the Year, Bill Green, who of course is a pretty well known fellow in Manchester, N.H., where the award was presented. George Hanna was on hand, as was Dartmouth's current outstanding quarterback Jay Fiedler '94.
Before it slips our mind, as most things do these days, we should mention that gifts to Dartmouth's Will to Excel Campaign can be supplied via wills as well as other means. Gifts may be designated for the Class of 1939 Scholarship Fund, which is gaining strength through contributions from a growing number of classmates. For details see the explanation in the June issue of 39 Out, wherein Bert MacMannis spells out the options.

Muggsy Bly writes that he has moved to a condo across the lake from his erstwhile abode. He can be reached at 3728 MonaKai Boulevard, Muskegon, MI 49444. He reports that he is still having foot problems.
One of the more peripatetic couples in the class, George and Ginny Neiley, dropped in for the night on June 9. They were east for Girtny's 50th reunion at Connecticut College, which they followed with a visit to Bill and Bunny Webster at the Websters' Old Saybrook home. Their eastern swing followed a visit with a daughter in Montana, where they talked with Dr. Bud Little. Bud had a coronary in mid-February followed by a quintuple bypass in mid-April. He is now back on the job as medical director of Medicare in Montana, and he was planning to walk the course of the Governor's Cup foot race on June 5 just to prove he could handle the distance.
It's time to start thinking about the fall minireunion which will take place over the Holy Cross weekend, September 24—2 5, in Hanover. Be there!
