A flurry of telephone calls and memos from Clark Davis as he plunges into his new role as class publicity maven. He wants to see as many classmates as possible at Dartmouth Night Weekend October 29-30, and he fully expects to see all classmates at the 40th Reunion, June 13-16,1994.

On the hot day in July when I was polishing up this month's literary effort, I happened to tune in CNN for a moment, and there was Dick Krimm, associate director of FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) holding forth at a news conference regarding the serious flood situation along the Mississippi River. Dick was wearing a green and white striped tie, which only enhanced his poised presentation.

Lyon Greenberg reported in several months ago: "My practice in pediatric otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat) has continued to thrive, and I am the managing partner of a six-man group in the Capital District area of New York. Academically, I continue to hold the position of clinical professor of otolaryngology and pediatrics at Albany Medical College." Lyon follows Dartmouth football as closely as time permits and looks forward to accompanying daughter Liz to games in Hanover during her senior fall this year.

Perry Davis sent along news from Al andHelen Staley who, according to Perry, have been on a prolonged cruise since September 1990: "We are still doing our boating thingalthough a bit closer to home. In April we guided our little craft across the 1,100 miles from the Virgin Islands to Florida. At the moment she is high and dry in Ft. Pierce while Alan paints the bottom and greases the seacocks in preparation for another season. As if that were not enough, we recently joined with Alan s siblings in chartering a boat for a week in Tonga. Sort of a busman's holiday for us, but very interesting."

In January The Wall Street Journal announced that "Paul Martin is being named an assistant managing editor, reflecting the increasing responsibility he has assumed in his role as the Journal's guardian of style and as the news department's ombudsman in responding to readers' comments and complaints. In addition, Paul will join Deputy Managing Editor Barney Calame as final reader for major stories." Paul has been with the Journal forever, progressing through many editorial positions.
