In May Mark Alperin was honored with this award in recognition of his dedication and success as a fundrais for Dartmouth. Mark is vice chairman of the Alumni Fund, working with younger classes, is a member of die Will to Excel campaign executive committee, an enrollment worker, and seems to have served at one time or another as every kind of "agent" Dartmouth has: class agent, head agent, leadership agent, and fraternity/sorori agent. In 1990 he won the John R. Mason Award for the outstanding head agent one to ten years out of college. When in Hanover Mark enjoys frequent gatherings with fellow Bones Gate alumni.
Mark and his wife, Kathy, an IBM-systems engineer, hold M.B.A.s from Duke. They live in Rhode Island, where Mark oversees operations, sales, and accounting for the family business, Pawtucket Fasteners. He is the son of Melvin Alperin '58.
