Dr. Paul Harper of Baltimore, where he spent years at Johns Hopkins University and Johns Hopkins Hospital, recently wrote that he and his wife, Cornelia, have had their share of geriatric problems but nevertheless were about to take a l2 mile walk to look for Canada geese on a small lake where they had seen them ten days before.

There are only two other medical doctors of 1926 vintage still with us: Dr. SidneyLenke, Westport, Conn., who was in private practice, and Dr. Weldon Wilkinson, Thousand Oaks, Calif., who specialized in eye surgery. He was a classmate of ours for three years, then transferred to the University of Minnesota for his A.B. and M.D.)

Henry Blake, Wellesley, Mass., just retired from Commonwealth of Massachusetts Western Suburb Elder Service after 12 years, watching over their finances. Celebrating his retirement, he joined the class secretary for dinner at North Hill in the midst of the ten-year redecorating going on. Henry remembers "Dinty" Hugh Moore, a brother in Theta Chi who was very humorous in all his doings, but who has been among the missing, and whose obituary is now being prepared.

Ed Emerson, Norwich, Vt., said his two grandsons graduated from Hanover High School, but both wanted to see more country outside of Hanover so went to Colgate and to Colorado State. Ed's choice of a date to see Colgate was on a football weekend which left Dartmouth with a loss. Who knows what would be the story if Dartmouth played Colorado?

The Cdllege spared Professor Alan Gaylord, Henry Winkley Professor of AngloSaxon Language and Literature, to be at North Hill in Needham, Mass., to speak to 12 widows and five Dartmouth men and one Honorary Dartmouth man at the Tenth Annual Dartmouth Convocation there. The numbers have varied during the ten meetings, which have always been evening dinners, and no other college has had alumni meet in this way at North Hill. Fourteen Dartmouth men have lived at North Hill, but not all at the same time, and the same applies to widows.
