And who says begging and pleading will get you nowhere? After September's groveling for letters I even got a letter from Andy Schopler '94. "Though I am not stricdy speaking a '93, I was so moved by your plight that I decided to send you my meager knowledge." From his report it would seem that everyone on the track team is pursuing some sort of medical study: DeniseMarciano is at Cornell Med in N.Y.C, for a M.D./Ph.D. Cindy McCollum Larson married Mark Larson '92 in July and is starting her psychology Ph.D. at Syracuse. Also at Syracuse is Tom Gogan (former track and cross-country captain) in medicine. KenBilchek is hanging in D.C. while applying to med school. And Chris Gibbons is beginning his fi

Sue Stuebner (sues@joe.alb.edu) has relocated from her women's b-ball assistantcoaching job in the wilds of Minnesota tc the roaring metropolis of Reading, Pa., to assume the head coach (and admissions counselor) position at Albright College. Sue lists equaling or improving upon last year's total victories as a first goal. After a 1-22 season last year, one might have hoped for slighdy loftier aspirations. Perhaps somewhere down the line Sue

may meet her former teammate Renee Reed (who is coaching at Rutgers) on the court; in the name of humanity and compassion, let's hope not.

"Despite the times I have kicked this smoginfested town in the groin, Hollywood refuses to buckle at the knees. Hopefully, the job I have now—assistant to an agent at the William Morris Agency (the stationery is not stolen, whatever my parents may tell you) is the vocational pair of steel-tipped cowboy boots I need to cripple Hollywood into giving me a writing job," writes Andy Baker, who is living with Laurel Deck in LA. "We're not engaged yet," he continues, "but we have two cats, a couch, and a fridge so I guess that suggests commitment." Andy has been pounding out sitcom scenarios and nagging warm bodies to read them, as yet without a bite. Perhaps they are too cerebral—we know that they certainly could not be any more brainnumbing than the current options. Laurel is in pursuit of reality, with psych grad school lurking in the not-so-distant future.

According to his postcard, Geoff Wheeler should be arriving back in the states soon to continue the dream-world life he has been living in Zimbabwe. "During the day, with my history major in hand, I deliver fish around town; each night I step onto the field in front of 10-20,000 people to play soccer for the local club team, the Highlanders." Wheels's plan to teach while in Zimbabwe was derailed by bureaucracy, and so he filled the void with fish. Now he hopes to find a pro team here with which to play.

And lastly, another marriage Jen Patterson married John Parrack on June 17. Both are studying Spanish at Penn. John got his master's in June, and Jen should complete hers this January; ideally they will continue together as Ph.D. candidates. Jen Grillo helped at the wedding and is doing well at Tufts Med School.

That's all for now, keep those letters rolling. I will get them in, unless I absolutely hate you and the mere sight of your name makes me ill. In which case I'll probably use your letter as a fire starter to keep the home fires warm this winter. And if that's true, then I thank you for your generosity.
