A grant from the hewlitt Foundation to fund gathering of historical archives has prompted two former editors from The Dartmouth to ask class secretaries to encourage classmates to send reminiscences of their work on that periodical. The address is Historical Archives Project, 6175 Robinson Hall in Hanover.

Hart Gilchrist gave a Watercolor by Professor Herb West to the College Archives. Visitors to Baker Library can ask the curator, Phil Cronenwett for a look-see. Gilly and ArtSpiegel complimented your scribe on the April DAM class notes.

The Making of the Atomic Bomb reported the solution by "a young research chemist from DuPont" of a problem in canning uranium slugs at Hanford in September 1944. DuPont retiree Gene Smith did a marvelous job in running down fellow retirees who identified that chemist—alas, not our Pete Evans.

Billy Alton was recently spotted on a cruise ship docked in Buenos Aires. He is reported to be in good health.

Line Page sent a card in March. He had attended a wedding in Robin Hood country-Nottingham—and reported that the local drinkables, flowers, and green grass were a welcome respite from the two feet of snow in his yard in Melvin Village, N.H.

In the news was Les Billings, continuing his lifelong career of community service. He was interviewed as Senior of the Month by the N.H. Association for the Elderly. RalphHunter appears in Dartmouth Medicine in an early 1950s group photo of the Hitchcock Clinic Medical Staff.

Dorothy Miller reported Marge and Eliot Winslow and Jim Frame attending the memorial service for Cubby. Dorothy also said that she had attended funeral services for Janet Frame on April 23. A note of thanks from Rose McCarthy for our condolences on her loss of Hank was followed by EdBrummer's report of attending the memorial service for Hank in Lebanon on May 16 with the Hobbses Hunters and Lovelands

Alan Bucher has just composed an organ piece to be played at his granddaughter's wedding this autumn. How about a rendition of it at our mini-reunion September 23-24, Al? Be there, '31s!
