Adam Nelson '97, a six-one, 235-pound linebacker, puts the shot too. In fact, he holds the Dartmouth record at 58 feet, 1 inch. In July the 19-year-old sophomore from Atlanta, Georgia, won the World Junior Track and Field Championship's shot-put title in Lisbon, Portugal, with a toss of 60 feet, 2 inches.
