The National Science Foundation has awarded the College a $4 million grant to "promote broad and significant improvements in the undergraduate education that can lead to increased student appreciation of and ability to use mathematics." Using an interdisciplinary approach that will tap the non-math interests of students, individual projects will involve at least 50 members of the faculty. The goal of the five-year program is to establish national education models.
