In case you hadn't noticed, this is the April issue of the DAM, not the March one. The magazine has adopted the new Heinrichsian calendar, named for our editor Jay Heinrichs, and it omits February, skipping right into March and then April. This is the first major calendar change since Pope Gregory XIII dropped ten days in October 1582. Losing February is unfortunate; it used to be a fine month with Winter Carnivals, lots of snow, and the beginning of the second semester. It's too bad it wasn't the muddy month of March we lost.

Robert E. Hanna of Orleans on Cape Cod says he's swimming and dancing much more slowly with cataracts and angina, and he adds,"I am trying a low-fat diet so I can live to be 100?!" Since we don't know if that is a question or an exclamation we won't touch it except to add that Bob must be doing something right or have a good doctor.

Winston Smoyer, attending a luncheon for the Pasadena Rose Bowl Queen and her court, met a lady from Muskegan, Mich. She knew all about Bill McCall's athletic prowess, and reminded Win that in high school he was all state in basketball and football.

Carol K.Gerstley, widow of our classmate William Gerstley II, has established a named scholarship in memory of him, with a preference for a physically handicapped student. Her gift was for $50,000, and the College matched this with $25,000 from unrestricted bequests. In presenting this gift Carol emphasized her interest in the class of 1932. The class deeply appreciates this gift to the College and her interest in us.

Sadly, we learned that Martha Noyes, widow of our late classmate, died in October, one month after Ellie's death.
