Yank Price once again treated us to a wonderful Christmas lunch at the Hanover Inn. There were 48 guests (21 classmates, 16 wives, four widows, and seven friends). Most of us live in the Hanover area, but several came from afar.

Ralph Specht reported in January that the snowbirds had started to arrive in Sarasota, including the Van Antwerpens, the Richters, the Moultons, the Websters and Al Ritchie.Dick Meyers laments the fact that there are no classmates in the Dallas, Texas, area. Barbara and Lloyd Markson once again attended the Alumni College for two weeks. MelRothschild lost Mary, his wife of 53 years, but he still goes into his Chicago office and works out regularly. Ben Harriman's wife of 57years, Mary Stuart, recently passed away. Ray Moulton's wife, Laura, spent five days in the hospital with an unusual disease, but she has since recovered, and they are looking forward to the 60th. Harry Deckert's wife, Jukie, has Parkinson's but is still completely alert. Harry tries to play nine holes a week in St. Louis, sometimes with Bill Chapman.

Doug Ley, after a stroke, is sitting on top of the world now that he is able to drive again on a normal basis. Tahoe and Link Washburn have returned from what they describe as a "too short" month in the Canadian Arctic. They recently saw Betty and Bill Lingley, who are said to be "hanging in there." Wiley Hubbell regrets that he is not getting old fast enough to continue shooting his age in golf.Jim Alfring, having lived in Delray Beach for some time, could probably give Wiley a decent game.

Belatedly, we report the deaths of the following: Reg Bankart, Sam Boggess, BobBonner, Wayne Geib, Walt Gless, HobeGriffin, George Hoke, Fritz Hormel, BillNiemann, and Bob Ulman. We believe that at least 272 of us (excluding nine adopted) are alive, while 399 have died. Records show that 691 matriculated in 1931, of whom 518 eventually graduated. Thus there are 20 unaccounted for. Perhaps our records leave something to be desired, but it is likely that 285 of us are still alive and kicking.
