After a Christmas celebration at our daughter's new home in Bellingham, Wash., we paid a visit to Lew Lambert, M.D.,a mere 200 miles away at Kelso. Lew devoted an entire day to showing us the spectacular results of the awesome volcanic explosion at Mount St. Helens. Lew is now a paid employee of the U.S. Forest Service serving as an interpreter at the Mount St.Helens Visitors Center. Inspired by the recent story in this magazine of midnight buildering, Lew wants it recorded for posterity that he and the late Charlie Horan were the ones who climbed the roof of Rollins Chapel to the belfry to ring out the end of the infamous Yale football jinx.

On the other side of the continent we find Bob Weil in Hanover for the November meeting of overseers of the Hopkins Center and Hood Museum. Bob plans to make the trek again from Alabama to the June reunion. Joe Dunford visited some of his children in really remote areas: a son in Oman, a daughter in Morocco, and her twin sister on the Ivory Coast. Joe is all set for the reunion.

To catch Scotty Rogers, you gotta be quick. First, he was seen in Hanover for the mini. Then he was discovered at a Dartmouth gathering at the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe with Ty Cobb and BillCoulson. Next, we located him at Sun City West with Chuck Haskell. At Newport Beach he was seen at lunch with Ned Jacoby and Fred Fuld. Now we have lost him again, but he will be in Hanover again in June.

From a usually reliable source we hear that Jack Rourke's health is so much improved that he is likely to be at our June gathering. We certainly hope so.
