Even though the number of our classmates is decreasing at an alarming rate, the number of participants in our fall reunion continues to grow steadily. On Friday evening before the Penn football game our largest number ever, 55, assembled at the Dowd's Inn in Lyme. Longest distances traveled were by Scott and Loomie Rogers from San Diego, Janet Wentworth from San Francisco, and Cliff and Christine Holmes from Tucson. First-time participants were Hal andSally Sommer from Winnetka, Ill. Sally was right up front with the loudest of us belting out those old familiar melodies. Ted andTweedy Miller missed on the Friday dinner because Ted was at the Hopkins Center to accept the winner's award in our section of the Alumni Fund drive. The class meeting in Blunt Alumni Center was well attended. The most exciting news was Brownie's description of the activities planned for our 55 th Reunion, June 12-14. No one will want to miss that one. If you would like to see all of us on the steps of Parkhurst Hall saying "cheese," call Joe Burnett for his photo of the event. Several classmates seen at the football game were not at any of the other mini-reunion gatherings. How come?
The Valley News reported that 18 Dartmouth football players teamed up with 20 kids for a day at the Big Apple Circus thanks to the tickets provided by John Manley.
