A note from MarionHourdequin, widow of Felix. She is now living at an "excellent facility" in West Hartford, Conn. She reports that "our grandson, Jamie Hourdequin, is a very happy freshman at Dartmouth." Jamie is also the son of James '46, the son of Marion and Felix. I wonder how many three-generation families we have in the class. All contributions gratefully received.
We learn that the Shanaman Sports Museum of Tacoma-Pierce County, Wash., is named in honor of our Fred Shanaman Sr. and his wife, Marjorie. An excerpt from an article about the dedication follows: '"My father was a basketball and baseball star at Dartmouth College in the 1920s,' explains Fred Shanaman Jr., a prominent local businessman and major contributor to the museum. 'He was also involved with the Tacoma Athletic Commission for a number of years and was dedicated to ensuring that the fine tradition of Tacoma-Pierce County athletics be sustained during his lifetime and for those who followed.'"
