For those who have been (following my political career lo these many years, I was re-elected to my third term on the Derry (N.H.) school board. It was a rough-and-tumble campaign this time and a slim margin of victory. I don't want to give too many details away. It might affect the advance on the book deal.

Alan Feiner has been promoted to clinical professor of medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. A popular teacher of house staff and medical students, Alan has been on the clinical faculty since he entered the private practice of medical oncology and hematology in Denver in 1978.

For his 11 years of service to the Middlesex United Way, Tom Stickney was presented with the United Way Community Service Award. Since 1984 Tom has served on several committees for the United Way in his local organization, the state organization, and the Northeast Regional Council. Tom lives in Middletown, Conn., and works for Fleet Bank.

Just down the road a piece from Tom we find Stephen Bates has joined the board of directors of the Norwalk Community Technical College Foundation. This private foundation funds college programs not supported by the state budget. Steve is senior vice president of Shawmut Bank Connecticut N.A.

Heading further south, Dan Papp divides his time between his duties as professor of international affairs at the Georgia Institute of Technology and serving as executive assistant to the president there. Dan's specialties include international security policies, United States and Russian foreign and defense policies, and international system change.

Get out your date books and mark the weekend of October 20-21. That is Homecoming, and we will, as always, have a pregame get-together. Watch this space for details.
