Believe it or not, it's here—'47's 25th reunion June 17, 18, 19. Those "old" guys with tentloads of kids we've seen at our earlier reunions (and never thought it would be us) are now us. Chairman FrankWeber is holding the first official "reunion" at his home in Ridgefield, Conn. David Orr, Assistant Secretary of the College, and Dave Weld, reunion chairmen for '46, will be present to give us the benefit of their experience. Both Frank and Ham Chase were in Hanover for '46's 25th as observers and report it as a huge success. There are two things you can do now. Send films, pictures, both from college days and reunions, to either Alan Hall, St. Paul's School, Concord, N. H. or to SaxeFletcher, 64 Sylvan Place, Longmeadow, Mass. 01106. They are serving as cochairmen of the Year Book Committee. You can also mail to Frank Weber, 21 Silver Spring Road, Ridgefield, Conn. 06877. The second thing to do is to block out June 17, 18, 19 now.

Some catch up news regarding Dr.Douglas F. Jordan, Connecticut State Archeologist, who is an authority on the history of Connecticut through his many digs. Douglas is an assistant prof, in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Connecticut. Congratulations to William Henry Clay Jr. recently named president of Braun North America, a subsidiary of The Gillette Co. Bill has been director of new ventures at Gillette and was deputy managing director of its Australian subsidiary.

Still catching up—Paul Spiers honored for helping New England Tel win the Public Relations Society of America's Silver Anvil Award. The award presented at the Plaza Hotel in NYC was given for an intensive training program for company spokesmen. Paul lives at 276 Marlboro St., Boston with his wife Anne and three chil- dren Duff, 18; Suzanne, 16; and Heather, 3.

A brief note from Bud Nossister informing us that he was leaving for London to take over the London Bureau of The Washington Post—new address Washington Post, New Zealand House, 80 Haymarket, London SW 1. A nice note from Howard and Barbara Luckenbach written from Hanover on the occasion of their son Keith's graduation with the class of '71. They inform us that they placed a formal request, one year in advance, for good weather for our 25th. Alan Epstein while stirring up donations also stirred up a letter from Dr. Irwin M. Weinstein who practices Hematology and Internal Medicine in Beverly Hills, Calif. His achievements, published papers and honors are far too numerous to list here but are most impressive. Irwin has two sons, James and David, and indicates that David is a candidate for Dartmouth. His wife Judy is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and is "best known for two things: (1) putting up with me for 21 yrs., (2) Ist Vice President of the United Nations Association, Pacific Coast Chapter."

Congratulations are in order to Head Class Agent Alan Epstein and to his many assistants who together with a record 385 contributors (67.8% of the class) won the little Green Derby Group V ('42 to '48) with a total contribution of $28,734. Alan proudly points out that of the 600 additional donors for the entire College, 51 of these were '47's. This performance was certainly no accident and Alan deserves all of our thanks and praise for this job so well done.

Roland Routhier was appointed early this year a Vice President of Texaco, in charge of supply and distribution. He has been "round the girdled earth" with Texaco since joining the company in 1949, first in the Caribbean and Africa, from 1963 to 1967 in Europe, in Brussels as executive vice president of a subsidiary from 1969 to 1970, and most recently as general manager—Latin America, International Sale Department. New Canaan, Conn., is now home. Roland has a son Richard in the class of '73.

Our condolences to Harley Timbers whose father passed away this past spring.

It's a light mailbag for August but we trust with reunion meetings, the Yale game in Hanover and other games we'll be seeing and hearing from many of you. REMEMBER—Calendar June 17, 18, 19!
