Art Blais of West Roxbury, Mass., will celebrate his 91st birthday in January and Gertrude's and his 50th wedding anniversary in February. Their four children have produced 11 grandchildren. Art doesn't travel anymore but is busy with small chores, reading, cards and visits from family. We called Joe Boldt, whose health has improved since last spring, but found that his wife, Margaret, is ill. Judge Milton Alpert fell, fracturing his right hip. He was six weeks in the hospital and now (September) is home recuperating slowly. His address is 3095 N. Course Drive 909, Pompano Beach, FL 33069. CalKierstead now lives in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Phyllis and he moved there from Hartford when he retired from his building supply and later his airplane parts businesses. Both are active in volunteer work, especially visiting and assisting octo-and nonagenarians who need help. Bob McConnochie retired to Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Alice and he arrived there from Michigan, where he had served with the State Housing Authority. Bob said he would be happy to do volunteer work for the class. Don Allen says that the Indian lawsuit involving him and his neighbors is postponed until December.
I've enjoyed being your secretary for the past seven years, and deeply appreciated the help so many of you gave me. See you at the next and last official quinquennial reunion in 2002.
