It's nearly fall again, and I've got that old back-to-school feeling. Thus, DianaHeadley Saunders is the logical choice to start off our news. Diana, a psychology and mathematics teacher at Ursuline Academy, has been teaching for four years and is actively involved with the issue of gender bias in schools. She was named to the advisory board of the Mid-Atlantic Association of High School Psychology Teachers, an association that promotes the sharing of ideas and methods which she helped to create.

Tom Palisi and his wife, Susan, are parents reports that Craig Budner had a son, William Ryan, in February. Craig is apparently setting up Alexa and William's first date while Tom is looking into nunneries. Tom officially left Merck to work as a law clerk for Fitzpatrick, Cella, Harper & Scinto an intellectual-property firm in N.Y.C.

Trevor Hinkle, son of Bethanne Telford Hinkle and husband Chris '85, will grow up with the true distinction of being the first baby born on New Year's Day in Bedford, Mass. His parents report that he is oblivious to his star status. Bethanne earned a master's in applied mathematics at UC Davis and, after a break, will continue with ArgoSystems.

The heading "From Somewhere in the East China Sea" jumped out at me from Lt. Ann Lamb's letter - it sounded so glamorous! Ann joined the navy after graduating from law school and has been stationed in Guam for the past three years. Assigned to the U.S.S. Holland, she has traveled all over the Pacific, including side trips to Thailand and Malaysia. In June she was reassigned to the Naval Air Station, North Island, Calif.

Ann reported that Maria Nisi married David Stutt. Maria is a teacher in New York. Mary Beth Meys married Tony Bird. Mary Beth is practicing law, and Tony is a medical resident in North Carolina.

Susan Murray, a third-year medical student at Albany Medical Center Hospital, is considering specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Susan has taken up kayaking and skiing.

Scott Kuldell was recently lauded in a newspaper article as one of the top mutualfund managers in the country.

Peter "Skip" Bogardus earned both a law degree and a master's in forest resources from UW in Seattle. "More importantly," Skip says, Polartec awarded him and Shep Kopp '86 a grant for a cycling and mountaineering expedition in Central Asia. Skip advises us to "pedal for the peaks."
