Congratulations to Dick Barker on the marriage of his son John to Julia Goodrich.

Spoke to Bob Bean recently. Bob has been living in Palatine, III., for some time. He retired from Burlington Industries when the company went private eight years ago, tried golf for a few months, and then decided to use a real-estate license he acquired some years ago when he resided in New Jersey. He is now working as a real-estate broker involved with residential real estate in Palatine, which is somewhat north of Chicago. Bob just married off his last child and now has three grandchildren. He asked about Ken Schramm, who stood up for him when he married. Ken, Bob can be reached at (847) 991-4105!

Also spoke to Al Bialosky 'and heard the interesting story of the Bialosky Bears. Al and Peggy had a hobby of collecting teddy bears since their marriage in 1979. They wrote a book on the collectibility of teddy bears and that lead to the teddy bear calendar. From that evolved the Bialosky Bears, which are now being marketed nationwide at several chains and on QVC on cable T.V. They are now marketing 25-30 bears and rabbits, the latest has a green jacket. (A Dartmouth teddy bear?) Al is still active in the printing business in Cleveland, Ohio. In order to keep an eye on all his lawyers, he went to law school, graduated, and passed the bar in 1980. To all a healthy and happy holiday sea- son.
