I am sorry to report the passing of Bruce Maclvor on March 7, 1996. Bruce was a regular at our homecoming Reunions. He was one of the few of us who could still wear his '54 jacket. (He claimed that he never let it out.)
Congratulations to Alec Gray and Mary Kochman. They were married on January 20, 1996, with Carol and Steve Mullins in attendance. Both Alec and Mary were widowed some time ago and got together as old friends, resulting in marriage.
Many '54s are involved in college and alumni affairs and their participation should be noted: Dick Page is a member of the Board of Trustees, John Gillespie is head of the Parents Fund Office. Serving on the Alumni Council are Dave Martin (Region V), Tom Sayles (class representative), Dave Mandelbaum (serving on the Nominating Committee), and Tom Tyler (Thayer School representative). Tom also chairs the Student Life Committee.
Also: Charlie Reed is president of the Orange County California Alumni Club; Dick Armstrong is treasurer of the Palo Alto Club; Bob Adnopoz, D.E.D. of the New Haven Club.
Tom Kelsey serves as a visitor of the John Sloan Dickey Center, as does JohnMoore. Jim Doig and Rod Rockefeller are visitors of the Rockefeller Center. Steve Mullins serves on the Dartmouth Real Estate Advisory Council.
Sinclair Hitchings is the contact for the Friends of Baker Library.
If I missed anyone, please communicate. I would be remiss (and incur Dick Lewis's ire) if I did not comment that June 30 is the end of this year's Alumni Fund. If you have not, please do!
