Doo wop by Duodecaphonics, rain courtesy of Hanover, and keg beer set the stage through Homecoming. Rich Berko witz tried to steal thunder from the bonfire but couldn't find a match for his Havana. With Carol, Rich led '63s with Leigh 14, daughter of Pete DeForth, carrying our standard, and Jean-Marc 16 and Robert 7, of the Harry Zlokower household, and Shandryl 2, granddaughter of Neil andjo Anne Duprey of Lebanon, N.H., bringing up the rear. Tatanya, a research virologist from Moscow, strode with friend John Kubacki of New York. Bruce and Patty Baggaley, Marty andLenore Bowne, and Tom and Barbara Perry completed the parade contingent joined by BUIKing and Bill Wellstead.

Cocktails at the cozy Edson home (Dean and Barbara) in Hanover, were followed by barbecued chicken and steak at the restored house and barn of Bob andSally Barnum. Tige Harris sent from London by his bank Lombard Odier to start a New York office, arrived with wife Peggy. Their son Wil is at N.Y.U. Business School, John is a professional polo player in Florida, Margaret Jane is at the University of Virginia, and son Aubrey boards at Landmark School in Boston.

Bob and Kerry Chavey of Green town, Pa., visited, as did Dick and KimStreet man and son Spencer 14 from Newton, Mass. Kirk Vernon of Fairfield, Conn., a sales exec with International Paper, with wife Martha, confirmed reports of rising paper costs. Steve Buckley, publisher of the Troy (N.Y.) Record, who was there with Sue, worries about things like that. Steve and Sue have their first granddaughter, Amanda, daughter of Amy, a paralegal in Durham, N.C. Melissa is a teacher in Clifton Park, N.Y. The Buckleys just dined with Byron Pipes, president of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, prior to the Dartmouth hockey game in Troy. Byron is brother of Bruce Pipes, formerly acting provost at Dartmouth.

Tom Kraig, a lawyer from East Barrington, R.I., described the ups and downs of single parenthood as he raises Tom Jr. Daughter Kathy is away at Harvard. Mike Prince of Lyme, N.H., came in, with son Luke 24, and wife Jeanne, just back from competing in international transplant games in England,

Ernie Torres, Wakefield, R.I., who serves as our class project chairman, was at the parties with wife Jan, and Steve andDiana Lewin stein, Newport, R.I., with son Marc '98. Also there were Dave andCaroline Schae fer, with son Andrew 10 in his Power Ranger suit, Concord, Mass., and Dave Saunders, Richmond, Va., professor of social work at Virginia Commonwealth University. One week later at Harvard, 18 hardy, rain-soaked souls met under a tent on the abutting vans of Dave Schaefer and Scott and Marsha Babcock.

Revelers included Sam and Rosa Cabot, Gordy and Sue Weir, Barry and Allison Blac kwell, Jack Steele and daughter Amy, Whit Kimball, John Hicks of Chicago and son Andrew, a senior at And over, and, at the game, Dick and Pam Booma.
