Whoever said that no news is good news obviously has never been a class secretary. Once again left to my own devices I've decided to make my own news in the form of a Happy 40th Birthday salute to our classmates who have reached the big "4-0". Mark Noble and Jim McIntyre turned 40 in October and November of last year followed by the January 1957 babies Linda Williams, Bob Burnham, and James Meigs. Ric Mellum celebrated his 40th in February, while Joan Clements Francis, Bob Hill, Jeff Pope had March birthdays. April and May brought 40th birthdays for Susan Ball, M.D., Eric Clow, Chuck Jarrett, Dick Williams, M.D., and Marianne Parshley, M.D. Jim Steinwedell, Denis Roy, and Dennis Murphy turned 40 in June, followed by Cheryl Laßue, Don O'Brien, Kim McConaughy Vletas, Laura Woodberry Jessiman, Mike McClin-tock, Walt Vanderbursh, and Robert Wood, M.D., in July and August.

Finally, Happy 40th Birthday greetings are in order for the September and October birthdays of Jim Wilson, Brent and Cami Bilger, Glen Elliott, Sharie Geaghan, M.D., Bob Hedges, Peter Kesser, Douglas Sacks, Kris Treu, Andy Sheehan, John Clark, Toidd Taylor, David Burchenal, M.D., Bryan Bishop, John Beyer, Kate Flitner, Joel Getzendanner, Tom Vieth, Alec Kloman, M.D., Barry Krum, and George Ledec. If I've missed anybody, my apologies. Maybe my omission will compel you to write to me.

Don't forget that this year the College is celebrating 25 years of coeducation beginning with an alumnae celebration and concurrent symposium October 17-19 th as well as various other events October 30th through November 7th.
