As I write this, Ken McDonough is reading on our deck overlooking Long Island Sound and also watching two of his eight great-grandchildren, ages 2 and 5, painting "works of art. He is with us in Connecticut for a month, getting around very well and enjoying the family as well as many visitors.

Dartmouth people do entertain. Fran, widow of Dick Gratz, writes that while they were living in Paris for some 23 years, they entertained many Dartmouth families from all classes. "Dick was very proud of Dartmouth and anyone from there was welcomed."

I received two wonderful photos of June Bryant, one with his dog Major in a rowboat, and the other of June on a tractor in his garden, both taken in June of 1997. He looks fantastic! He mentioned a lunch he had in Oregon with Rad Tanzer, who was there for a meeting of plastic surgeons. He also keeps in touch with Rad's neighbor, Ed Lathem '51, and thinks Larry Leavitt is wonderful in how he has kept tip his active interest in our class at "our age."

Please do send me your news. So many classmates write about how pleased they are to hear how everyone is doing. Happy Thanksgiving.
