The veritable dearth of '93 news has blissfully come to a screeching halt! The mail bags are far from full and could certainly stand some replenishing. You don't have to like me, you don't even have to know me, just mail me. You can even use my new temporary e-mail address: . Disregard other addresses and remail me lost messages.

Enough about me. Rachel Byrne, after neglecting all other social contact ("I am horrible about keeping in touch!") and enrolling in pre-med classes, will finally give up her quest to woo John Elway and marry Greg Tamkin '9l this August. She will, however, leave the door ajar for Mr. Elway, by continuing to live in Denver.

Walking through a park in Budapest, the cool waters of the Danube licking the graceful shoreline, and gazing up toward the palace and cathedral, Jon Ruiz proposed to Kristen Anderson (). They plan a July wedding in Chicago and until then will continue their Midwest/West Coast romance. Kristin works in Chicago developing educational software with the Learning Sciences Corp. and Jon lives in San Francisco, programming for Apple. "I'm sure this will come as something of a shock to friends and classmates who didn't even know we were dating. Or, for that matter, friends who knew we were dating but that we hadn't dated for very long. But it's hard to take things slowly when you've been best of buds for so long."

Several marching bandies will also be married in the near future. In the brass section, Marianne Ruhl will marry Alex Nikas '95 in Hershey, Pa., sometime in the summer of '98. Alex was wise to caution Marianne to take a close look in her champagne glass before chugging it down. Marianne will have just finished her internship in family practice, probably in or around Philadelphia. No news about the groom-to-be's current or future occupation. For that matter, no information at all about Alex. What does this say about open lines of communication? Mutual interest? Sharing and cooperation? Wholesome family values?

Speaking of family values, Alex Kaplan last fall devoted himself to the most altruistic of all goals—knocking Senator Jesse Helms off of his bully pulpit perch in Washington. He was the campaign director for Clean Up Congress, which, despite the most ardent of efforts, fell short of removing the aging pariah. He has since retired to his home in Memphis to compose the Great American Novel and to continue to compile a list of '93 e-mail addresses. Send your address and requests for a copy of the address list to .

"After almost three and a half years out of Dartmouth, I thought I'd finally make an attempt at writing the Alumni Magazine. After some serious thought, I am dismayed, however, at how little I have to report. You'd think that I would have more to say after three-plus years." Despite this disclaimer, Bobby Sepulcha reports that he is poised at the cusp of his career as a real lawyer, having graduated from the University of Michigan Law School and taken the bar. He has abandoned the Midwest and joined KarenCushing in the Bay Area, continuing the relationship begun on the lawn/mud pit of A. during Senior Spring's Green Key Weekend rage. Karen is studying for her Ph.D. at Stanford. After finishing the bar, Bobby and Karen got away—"really away." They trekked for three weeks through Indonesia and "ended up having a great time. It was certainly nicer than studying for the bar. En route to Indonesia we swung by Kuala Lumpur, where we spent a few days with Taylor Sandison. He is teaching biology and chemistry at the International School in K.L., but plans to be back in the States next year to attend medical school."

Keep the letters rolling, it's great to hear from y'all.
