Now that we have the capability of sending and accepting e-mail, we have heard from a few guys via this method of communication. Al Ley, who has apparently been solicited by Cardozo for '39 Out, and Bayrd for the Dartmouth Medical Magazine, was a bit overwhelmed upon a return from ten days in Puerto Rico. So we will not begin to journal his interesting story, assuming it will have already been covered. However, we will just mention that he retired ten years ago from teaching and running Cornell's medical community in Ithaca, N.Y., of course. And he has fathered six kids, four with his first wife, who died in 1965, and two with his current bride. He makes the point that his youngest, the only girl, is 30 years junior to his eldest son.

Bill Tucker, e-mailed us following a two-week skiing sojourn in Europe, at Vigo di Fassa, Italy. Bill is in New Hampshire, which he reported was having a mild winter.

Via the green card route we heard from Warner Kiefaber, who must have been cleaning out his attic. He sent a vintage picture of us in full football regalia prancing down Memorial Field during the early photo opps of the late thirties. This along with a modicum of news, in which he speaks of getting a new hip, for the second time. He said he was "doing great." He spent the month of March in Boca Grande recuperating.

Your Secretary was hard at work through March and April cleaning out 35 years of living at his Pittsfield, Mass., house, which he sold with an April 18 closing. So now it's six months in York Harbor, Maine, June through October, and six months or so in Vero Beach, Fla.

There is just enough time to close this thin column with an invitation to any who are in the New York vicinity on May 28 to join the executive committee meeting, chaired by prexy MacMannis, at the Yale Club (18th floor) at 10:30 a.m. A buffet luncheon follows. The Yale Club is on Vanderbilt Avenue, across from Grand Central Station.
