The December 19, 1996, edition of the Arvada Sentinel (Denver, Colo.) brought news that Robert Busch was one of three attorneys nominated to fill the position of First Judicial District Court judge. The article indicated that Governor Roy

Romer was expected to name one of the three no later than Christmas. It went on to say that Bob maintains a general law practice in Lakewood and after Dartmouth graduated from the University of Denver School of Law. He grew up in Fort Collins and, along with his wife, Barbara, has three children. Congratulations on the nomination, Bob, and please let us know the results!

Bill Webster passed along the news that Jim Ramsey came from Tennessee to Class Officers Weekend with two crew shells on the roof of his car no small achievement. The curious sequel is that Jim was seen headed back to Tennessee with three shells on the roof of his car. Jim, we know you like to row but perhaps you could clue us in on this good fortune. Bill also mentioned that plans are being formulated for a class of 1965 55th birthday mini-reunion in Tennessee or the Carolinas next May. If you are interested and if you have suggestions on a possible location, please contact Bill or myself.

Bruce Wagner and I had a nice chat in April. He is currently a vice president and director of corporate communications for the ITT automotive division of ITT industries. Bruce had had dinner with Jerry Ogden, who recently retired from the State Department serving mostly in China. Bruce said that Jerry is now a consultant doing lots of interesting things mainly in China. Jerry please tell us more about your new endeavors.

The March 19, 1997, edition of the New Britain (Connecticut) Herald informed us that Richard Furness was promoted to corporate secretary and senior vice president for human resources of the American Savings Bank. Dick, a Burlington resident, has been with American Savings for 24 years and is also chairman of the human resources committee for the Connecticut Bankers Association,

On April 23, 1997, the Newark, N.J. Star Ledger reported that Somerville, N.J., attorney, John Richardson, appears to be the leading candidate for the position of Somerset County prosecutor. The article stated that Governor Christie Whitman is "moving toward" appointing a new prosecutor. The article goes on to say that "Richardson, 54, is a trial attorney with broad experience who has built up credits with the county Republican Party over the years." After Dartmouth John graduated from Rutgers Law School and was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1968. John, please let us know the results.

I understand that our class had a good turnout at the Napa mini-reunion in May and that there is strong sentiment to continue this West Coast class, event. If you were there, please let us know and kindly relate news of classmates you met. We look forward to hearing from you.

Finally, I must again close this column on a very sad note. As many of you already know, we have recently lost three more classmates: William Seldon Bos, Arthur Mosby Harvey, and Bradford Teffi Hills. The class extends profound sympathy to their families. Full obituaries will appear in a later issue.
