There has been another changing of the guard. I'm sorry to report that Ed Weinstein, 1930's necrologist for the past year, suffered a serious stroke in October. Word from Ed's wife, Anne, in December, was that he is in rehabilitation in the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington. Anne reports that he is making progress, but "it is a long, hard battle" at our age. Not knowing how long Ed will be in the nursing home, I suggest that he would greatly appreciate any notes of encouragement sent to his Bethesda address.

The good news is that Doris McClory, now assistant bequest officer, has accepted this additional job without a struggle—most fortuitous for the class as she has been an active, participating member for many years, attending reunions and class meetings both before and since the passing of Congressman Bob McClory. As I've said before, to make her job pleasanter, don't die. But if you do, don't call Doris; call the Alumni Records Office at (603) 646-2253.

In December I talked with Blanche Mclnnes, who sounded well and says she is. Having tried, unsuccessfully, both of the phone numbers we had previously had for Blanche and Milt, I finally phoned our great communicator, Bob Chittim, and got a new and correct number for Blanche. You should correct your directories to show (815) 7344103.

Bob, incidentally, reports good health and says that his Marj also is doing well in her infirmary. If you want a status report on any classmates in the mid-Florida Gulf area, call Bob at (813) 383-8303.
