Lisa Horowitz and I recently discovered that we are practically neighbors here in Beverly. Lisa and husband Dave Huth moved here last April from Philadelphia. Son Ben is nearly three, and daughter Olivia was born in February. Lisa works half-time as a social statistics librarian at the architecture and planning library at MIT.

Hope you caught Liz McIntyre as one of several Big Green athletes competing in Nagano this winter. Unfortunately she did not make a return trip to the medal podium this time. When she's not skiing, Liz keeps busy as a member of the Fraser, Colo., town council, where she is working to slow commercial development and preserve the natural beauty of Fraser Valley. Though her U.S. Ski Team teammates say she loves a good debate, Liz admits she doesn't really have the stomach to be a politician.

Dominique Cone is living in Cheyenne, Wyo., where she is a partner in a law firm. She is married to Dr. Ronald LeBeaumont and has a one-year-old son named William Reed. I'm told she eats dinner every night in her Dartmouth chair.

Betsy Wall Rutherford writes via e-mail that she and husband Ken '86 are finally online and glad to be connected to the outside world. They have moved to a new home in Baltimore with daughter Emily 4 and son Andy 20 months.

I received news that Craig Budner was recently promoted to partner at Hughes & Luce in Dallas. He is a bankruptcy attorney, with extensive experience representing clients in federal, state, and bankruptcy courts, as well as with trademark infringement and leveraged buy-out litigation. Craig received his law degree from the University of Texas in 1990.

Also promoted recently was CraigDenekas, who is now a shareholder and director in the firm of Perkins, Thompson, Hinckley, and Keddy in Portland, Maine. Craig received his law degree from the University of Michigan and specializes in corporate and transactional law.

Here's a fun e-mail I received from BethHunt Isaacson in February: "Am home today taking care of my son Dean (15 months). Visited with Leslie Wilson and family (Russ and Rachel, 10 months) recently in Boston. They say TEXAS is next, and hope to move by June. The date keeps changing, but not the intent. Mary PageMichel blazed a trail out 1-90 to visit at tire end of a snow-ice storm. 'That was the dumbest thing I've ever done,' she said. I beg to differ, as I've seen her skate on Theta Delt's mung and survive Tally Rallies while at the whim of a not-so-sober '86 or two. My son just let out a howl. Nose is running wild, and his pink eye ain't clear yet. Ahh, the parental bliss. Lovin' it."

Finally, Garrett Hornsby writes that after seven years in San Francisco (two of those completing his M.B.A. at UC Berkeley), he has been in New York City for three years and loves it. He is a regional business development manager for Levi Strauss & Cos., which keeps him on the road quite a bit. Fortunately he loves hotels, room service, and taking customers out to dinner. He stays involved with Dartmouth as first vice president of the Black Alumni of Dartmouth Association.

A few months ago you should have received instructions for connecting to the Vox Alumni Network. Take a minute to point and click your way to to register. This is a great way to keep in touch with other alums and have a place where your classmates can always find you, even if your personal e-mail address changes.
