At Moosehead Lake, Maine, I we are far removed from Hanover and Dartmouth friends. However, the 70th Reunion memories linger, and we are sorry more classmates, wives, and widows were not able to take part in that wonderful weekend. The College went all out to make it a memorable event for all present. The class pictures taken on the steps of Rauner Library/Webster Hall arrived by mail in good shape, and will be a reminder of friends we seldom see.

We hope you were all able to keep comfortable during the hot, humid summer. Even Maine had the same type of weather, but we could at least cool off in the lake.

Rip adds: "When I behold the canyon's deep Or mountains rising from the sea

Or know the blessed gift of sleep Why seek a heaven disarmed up by me?"
