I had a phone call recently followed by a letter from Bill Stowell, who was seeking info about a fellow high-school classmate. Bill is still keeping very busy tending to chores on his farm near Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and he and Beverly are hoping to make our 50th next year. Speaking of which, have you sent your bio sketch and picture to Joe Medlicott for the 50th Reunion book? Time's a-wastin'. If you're reading this column right now, it shows that you give a damn about Dartmouth, our class and/or at least some of your classmates. That suggests that someone out there, probably a lot of "someones," gives a damn about what's gone on with you in the past 50 years. So, get hot on your contribution to what will be a memorable yearbook commemorating a major part of your life. It's hard to believe at this writing in the heat of this year's New England summer, but fall is coming soon. With it will come our regular mini-reunion, on the weekend of Oct. 22-24. If you haven't been in recent years, come on up and participate in the fun and games.
A more personal reunion is about to take place. The Kent family will gather at a small conference center on a lake in Maine to celebrate Barbara's and my 50th anniversary. Seven kids (the oldest of which was born in Hanover), spouses, and ten grandchildren, all 24 of us, will get together for a week and we expect it to be a great time. You may expect a detailed day-by-day account in next month's issue...unless a few of you get an urge to send me an e-mail or a snail mail note with news of you and/or classmates.
