James Grosser was married last March to Meredith Sanderow (now Meredith Grosser). They live in Washington, D.C., where James has been working as an associate in the tax department at Shaw Pittman Potts & Trowbridge since March of 1997. James and Meredith have the next few years well planned. They will buy a house in the district, then a family , and then it will be time for James to make partner. As always, he says, it seems that everything is in the future and nothing is happening now. James saw Tim Burger on the street recently and also heard him on C-SPAN. Tim is a reporter with the D.C. bureau of the New York Daily News.

Daron Fitch and his wife Suzanna Dotson '91 had a baby girl named Jordyn Taylor Mijin Fitch on Sept. 19, 1998. Daron and family reside in Chicago.

Sue Rheingold can finally say she completed the NYC Marathon. Sue was one of the many happy finishers on Nov. 1, 1998. In fact, Sue ran it with her dad on his 65th birthday. Out cheering her on were Holly Vinchesi Cox and her daughter Caroline (who hosted a pre-marathon brunch in their beautiful new home on 86th and Madison), and Becky DudleyPascal and her husband. Becky is an editor at Addison Wesley Longman, which was recently combined with Simon and Schuster. Becky reported that PamCodispoti and Beth Hoffman (both working in NYC) were handing out sponges to the runners in an official capacity, but Sue didn't see them.

Also running his first marathon on the course that day was Adam Rabiner, who ran the race in pain because of knee problems he developed while training. Plus, having turned 33 on Oct. 29, Adam qualifies as one of the more elderly 'BBs. When he e-mailed me eight days later, he was still in pain but had a clean bill of health from his orthopedic doctor. Adam recommends the NYC Marathon to any 'BBs who really want a special experience. NY's crowds really come out in force, and the route is terrific.

David Corkins was interviewed in the Wall Street Journal in October to discuss the market's recent volatility. David has been portfolio manager of Janus Growth and Income Fund since August 1997. Said David, "It's easy to get complacent and lazy when the market rises, but in times like this—that's what makes it fun."

Leland Asher Price was awarded MCl's Best of the Best marketing award in a ceremony in Banff, Canada. The award is given out twice annually to an individual who plays a key role in marketing efforts that advance MCI Worldcom's goal of achieving a greater share of the telecommunications market. Eva Pfosi Merriam lives just outside of Stowe, Vt. She dabbles in the ski business but spends most of her time raising Lucy and Hannah, ages 4 and 2. They live the country life on a dirt road with gardens and a backyard pond. They have the best of both worlds, with mountains for entertainment and with Burlington and an international airport less than an hour away.
