Received from the chairman of the Committee on Alumni Organization was the notification that my suggestion of modifications for renovating Memorial Field had been found valid, and that it was referred by the Alumni Council to the Athletic Council. Such modifications permit use of the playing surface for football, men's and women's soccer, and men's and women's lacrosse in a lay-out of one field atop the others, day and night and year-round. This arrangement would be similar to that in the new Princeton ton Stadium. I'll report developments.

No big deal was my reaching the 90-year mark in February. I expect most classmates still alive, however, will reach that mark in another year or so, and that they are looking forward to the start of the next millennium on January 1,2001.

Sorry to report the death of Bob Caverly on September 9,1998.
