If you haven't seen it already, keep your eyes out for minireunion opportunities. The New York musical Civil War, directed by Jerry Zaks '67, was previewed by Mark Waterhouse, who reports a terrific theatrical event. And our annual September "birthday party" is not too far away. Hope some of you can make one or both. It is also Alumni Fund time of year. Let's continue to make Dartmouth history in both participation and absolute size of aggregate gifts!

Here come da judge. Bob Lynn has been a District Court judge in Minneapolis for ten years, doing an assortment of civil and criminal cases. Lately he has been part of an innovative program dealing with felony drug cases, with a heavy emphasis on treatment and intensive probation rather than lockup, with an ultimate goal of reducing recidivism. He and two other judges handle 1,500 cases a year. Daughter Morgan is living in Boston, in grad school in language and literature at BU; son Josh recently graduated from RPI and is in San Diego, working biology labs, thinking of further degrees; and son Nate is a junior in high school in Burlington, Vt., an avid hockey player.

Allen Myers is a professor of health services at Boston University School of Public Health, where he is the research director of the New England Spinal Cord Injury Center. They study the social, financial, and medical consequences of spinal cord injuries. Wife Anne is a consultant in real estate development, after doing similar work for Massport. Son David '91 got his master's from Simmons and is a fifth-grade teacher in Brookline; son Jonathan '96 is an urban development consultant in New York, focusing on non-profit, low-income housing. Latest special project for Allen is building his own sea kayak, by hand, plus as many trips as possible with Anne to their Vermont getaway near Sugarbush.

Peter Zack continues his mosaic of public service activities: he is director of energy education for the entire state of Maine, providing or coordinating education at the elementary and secondary school levels. He even has his own office (a first!) in Kezar Falls. He also is president of a five-town recreation council and secretary to the Francis Small Heritage Trust, which is trying to buy up and preserve Sawyer Mountain in Limington. He and Margaret have been building their own home in the woods for years, living there in the summer and elsewhere in the winter. They are about to make the leap to fullyear living there, with solar heating to complement their wood stove. Margaret continues her work as coordinator in a local group home. Daughter Sanno is finishing up at Vassar this year, with eyes on a future Ph.D. in clinical psychology after a few years of work. By now Britta will have chosen which college she'll attend next year (none in Maine, from which she'd love a change of pace) and Anika is finishing ninth grade, loving her horse and boys, probably in that order. Keep the news coming, and have a great summer.
