Mars Bishop celebrated at the historic mansion Blithewold in Bristol, Rhode Island with his wife, Felicia Hwang Bishop '90, and Paul Mahoney and his wife, Eloise. BryanCooper says he and his family spent the evening with friends, toasting the Nova Scotia/Bahamian New Year at 11 p.m. Cleveland time, then went home, put the kids to bed, and barely made it to midnight for a New Year's kiss.
Peter Zinman and his wife, Claudia, watched the Times Square celebration on TV but he writes that "the fireworks were louder coming through our apartment windows 35 blocks away!"

Gregory Hawes celebrated the "pseudomillennium by slow-smoking an indecent amount of meat over an old-fashioned barbecue" at his parent's farm. Greg's family survived his dangerous-sounding experiment with fireworks long enough to witness him lower a New Year's ball in the living room made of clear plastic dixie cups and Christmas tree lights.
Matthew David Kaufman arrived just a few days late for his family's festivities. He was born on January 4 to Nancy Obler and her husband, Joe.
Debbi Wilgoren and her husband, Rick Silber, welcomed their second child, Isaac Joshua, on February 11. He joins big sister Carol, who is celebrating her second birthday this month.
Laurie Fanger Reed says she was supposed to have a millennium baby but Benjamin showed up on December 8 instead. She writes that she and husband Dave spent New Year's day "snuggling, snacking, snoozing and changing diapers. It was by far the best New Year I have ever had." Deanna Emberley Bailey and ChrisBailey celebrated by lighting off a home display of fireworks in Vermont, which scared their 2 1/2-year-old for several days. Celebrating his first New Year's was their second child, William (Liam) Thieler Bailey, born October 28.
Taraneh Azar and husband Michael Moody '86 had a daughter last fall. Daria Janet Moody arrived on September 3. Taraneh says their busy schedules have become busier but that parenthood is "awesome. " Eight-month-old Jack Parolisi is fullblooded Dartmouth Green, according to mom Julie Jensen Parolisi. He was born September 14. Dad is John Parolisi '85.
