In mid-April several hundred New Jersey community leaders gathered to present Joan and Al Bildner with the Brightest Star Award on behalf of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Newark, New Jersey. The presentation was made to recognize their decades of work in enhancing the lives of children in Newark through philanthropic activities. Al and Joan have also established funding for a Tucker Foundation Summer Internship program, which sends groups of students to work in the Boys and Girls Clubs of Newark during the summer.

Arnold Weber of Dallas has retired from the shirt manufacturing business. After quadruple bypass surgery a couple of years ago, he has taken up painting and writing children's poetry. A major difference in the publication of the poetry is that the illustrations are chosen from among submissions made by local students.

In March Joe Eisaman was invited to speak at the University of Southern California's School of Business concerning his experiences in advertising and sales promotions. In midJune Merry and Al Hall celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with no fanfare. In early September Jean and Bill Hallager celebrated their 50th anniversary also. Anumber of us were present at both ceremonies and send our best wishes to them and to their families. Caroline and George Bihgham enjoyed a trip to the British Isles in May and June, spending a week in Ireland and two weeks in England. Dottie and Ham Chase were off to Paris, Marseille and Rome on an alumni-sponsored trip in July. They would welcome word from any classmates and other alumni who may be planning to go on any of these several trips. Janet and Fred Frassinelli spent a week in southern California in April and visited Joe Eisaman.

Joe Hayes (603-964-6503) issues a reminder on our mini-reunion scheduled for the Norwich Inn on October 27-28, the weekend of the Harvard game.

The sympathy of the class goes to the families of our recently deceased classmates: Fritz Alexander, Ben Bartlett, Tom Gustenhoven, Bob March, Bob Moorehead and Ralph Rankin. Our ranks get thinner every day.
