Membership has its privileges, I guess.
I got this nice little package in the mail a few weeks ago, and it turned out to be a copy of "the first full-length CD" of former Dartmouth AireAustin Willacy (I think we all knew him as Keith). Of course, he was a '91, but I'll give him some pub. The album is calledAmen'can Pi and it's great—and not just because it was free. I recommend you look out for it and buy it. If you're in the San Francisco area, try and catch a show.
All right, back to the REAL class of 1992... Sheila Leonard-Peck and husband Joe welcorned corned a son into the world. Tain Joseph Leonard-Peck (will he be able to fill that into SAT squares?) was born way back in December, so he's probably terrorizing his parents by now.
Rob Koreman used his new toy (e-mail) to bring me up to speed on his life. He departed TWA for a job with American Airlines during the spring, and tells classmates flying to Central or South America to listen for his name as their pilot. And if he is, head on up to the cockpit and say hi (I suggest knocking before entering).
I got some vintage Jen Williams material from an e-mail way back in March, but only now am I getting to it. She is (was?) working as a production manager for the Fox News Channel in New York, and running into Todd Rich man and Chris Week fairly regularly. She attended the wedding of Tricia Twomey in Quito, Ecuador, stopping along the way for one of those sweet airport Cinnabons with Tracy (Tysenn) Mac Donald (who later gave birth to a daughter, Charlotte Anne Mac Donald...the Cinnabon had nothing to do with it). Betsy Cowles is teaching in a Boston suburb and raising her son, who wants only to lift the Stanley Cup someday. Ah, kids...
I hope those of you in the big cities were able to attend the respective mini-reunions on June 22. Here in Chicago, I was joined at Charies Ale House by Kelly Shriver and Thies Kolln, Katherine (Aires) Byrnes and Val Worthington. It was small, but it was great to catch up.
As of this writing, Carl Swenson was still training for a spot on the U.S. Olympic Team in mountain biking. Maybe you'll be reading this as you watch him on TV in September. And if you read the "Olympic Glory" section that USAToday puts out fairly regularly, Nina Kemppel continues to get mention for her nordic skiing feats. Be on the lookout!
Bob and Lynne (Schiffman) Delise sent me an e-mail, too, and Lynne passes on this note to Dave Clancy— she wants her husband's Play Station! I'll pass on more info from their email in the next column.
