As this is written your officers are scurrying around to assemble what will probably be our last mini-reunion. Our old reliables—Fran Fenn and Ben Doran—are gone, and John Johannessen is off to a retirement home in Florida. Charlie Blaisdell and I are still on the scene, and President Collis is looking to us to keep things moving. Charlie and his bride, Beatrice, are going to be staying near me at Kendal at Hanover.
Charlie Collis is looking ahead to our 65th reunion next June. I am invited to lunch with the college official who supervises such important matters.
A personal note: My Salem Lady novel/history
is expected to be off the press by November. It's about the settling of Salem in 1626. Our John Endicott Emerson is a direct descendant of the baby born in dangerous times at the end of the book. Salem is celebrating its 375th anniversary this year.
Patty and Bill Rotch are off to Thailand.
