My apologies for omitting Kendall Burney Savage from the list of our class executive committee members. Give a rouse for Claudia Leis Bolgen, who received the Mary C.Fitzpatrick Children and Family Law Award from the Massachusetts Committee for Public Counsel Services in recognition of her outstanding legal services, commitment to the representation of children and parents involved in care and protection, children in need of services and termination of parental rights cases. This award is presented annually by the Committee for Public Counsel Services, the Massachusetts state public defender office. Claudia practices law with her husband and law partner Stig Bolgen in the law firm of Bolgen & Bolgen in Woburn. Another rouse goes to Amy Smith McCormack, who is working for New Jersey Children and Family Services in the adoption division, giving families to kids who have lost their families for whatever reason. She's also a single mom with a wonderful daughter. I didn't want to change a word of what Heather Richmond wrote: "I'm very blessed to find myself part of the huge hit Broadway show The Producers. I am the assistant wig supervisor and spend most of the show running around changing actors from showgirls to little old ladies to Bavarians to Nazi storm troopers to sexy prison matrons. It's a bit surreal, but a great gig and the jokes still make me laugh after six months of work. I've gotten to meet lots of celebrities, including Clinton and Gore (NOT on the same night), Alan Greenspan, Julie Andrews, Carol Burnett and Mel Brooks's alumni Gene Wilder, Harvey Korman, Peter Boyle and Dom DeLuise. While we were trying out the show in Chicago, I got together with Sean O'Hearn a few times. He's just started a careerwith Southwest Airlines and is doing veiy well. Most of my free time in Chicago was spent at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, getting diagnosed with pulmonary sarcoidosis. (I don't recommend getting seriously ill while on the road. But if you must, try to do it in Chicago. Northwestern and its staff are great!) My doctor assured me that I have a "run- of-the-mill" case of this fairly rare lung disease, and it should run its course in a year or so. In the meantime, my hobby of singing is on hold. If any of you is lucky enough to have tickets to The Producers, please feel free to drop by after the show for a backstage tour. But I am sorry to say that I cannot get you tickets." Michael Poloukhine, his wife and three kids moved to a new home in North Haven, Connecticut. It is a bigger house with a bigyard (2-plus acres), woods and a brook in the back. They find it very exciting, especially when they find 6-foot snakes in the bushes while trimming the lawn. In June Michael took ownership of The Mead Group, the architectural firm in West Hartford, Connecticut, at which he's been working for the past five years. The firm offers a widevarietyof architectural services in New England, primarily Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York and Vermont. Check out the Web site that Mike built: www.themeadgroup.com (shameless plug for work). He is still windsurfing whenever he can and is still working on his forward loop (as if we're all masters doing that). In June Jeff House joined ePartners as a sales executive. Jonathan Miller married Wendy Cooke on July 28 and they are living near Seattle in Bellevue, Washington. Jonathan continues to work as an editor at World Vision, a Christian relief and development organization.
