Sorry I dropped the ball last issue I wish I could say that I had a lot of news to give you to make up for the lack of Class Notes; but I cannot. Here is what news I do have: Leslie "Brandi" Jones sent me an e-mail saying that both she and Jennifer Rodriguez had been selected to be chief residents at Wake Forest University. Both accepted their offers. J.J. Schaum and his wife, Anne (Allegheny 1993), sent word of the birth of their son Jackson Whitaker Schaum on September 13,2000 in Oberlin, Ohio. Right about the same time, Cara Grace Willison was born to Susan (LoCurto) Willison and Geoffrey Willison, who currently live in Palo Alto, California. Some old news to catch up on: Timothy Gardner graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine last May. Tim may be back in Hanover because I am told he is a resident in internal medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Maya Mangawang won the Maine Marathon last October. With this win Maya qualified for this year's Boston Marathon. Currently Maya is dean of students at Bowdoin College. Continuing on with my really dated news: In August 2000 Scott Meacham married Sarah Hand in Charlottesville, Virginia. Scott is a consultant with Betty Byrd & Associates, which specializes in historic preservation. Finally, Gretchen Freeman Cappio is practicing law in Seattle, Washington. She is currently representing plaintiffs in a class action suit brought under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. In the case the plaintiff has brought suit against her employer because the employee benefit plan fails to cover prescription contraceptives, although it covers almost every other FDA-approved drug. For more information on the lawsuit, contact Gretchen at gcappio@ kellerrohrback.com. That my news for now.
