A Class Notes column from far away and not so far away (from me, in Boston).

Andrea Useem wrote to tell of the birth of her second child, Adam Robert, on October 22, in Muscat, Oman. Her older child, Zakariah John, turned 2 on January 19. Andrea and her family moved to Muscat last year, where her husband, Justin, is teaching English at a private college. Andrea is a full-time mom, but does take time to do some writing during nap time. She says she hopes to write a book about her experiences in Africa and her conversion to Islam. Andrea writes that Muscat is a sleepy place, but beautiful, with mountains and lovely beaches just a few minutes away. She says that she and her family would love visitors!

Cari Berlage Lodge and her husband, Andrew, wrote about their new son, William Ingham Lodge, who arrived on September 13, 2003, at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. Will was 6 pounds, 7 ounces and 19 1/4 inches tall. I saw some great first pictures of Will, but could not include them in the column, obviously.
