Eli Micah Grosser, son of James Grosser and his wife, Meredith, was born on James' 35th birthday, March 10,2001. People say he looks like his father "and, hence, is very handsome." He's doing very well and at his one month check up, the doctor declared him to be in the 50 th percentile for height and weight. "Not bad for a former cox'n and his 5 foot, 2 inch wife, don't you think?" Eli's bris was well attended at the Grossers' house in Chevy Chase, Maryland, by family and friends. Naturally Eli is the primary focus of their lives now, although James was promoted to the position of "counsel" at his law firm Shaw Pittman, effective January 1, 2001. James continues to focus on the taxation of electronic commerce transactions and real estate partnerships/joint ventures.

Howard Roughan has just published his first novel, The Up and Comer, with Warner Books. A few of the characters are amalgams of classmates he either knew or observed during his four years in Hanover, so he "invites everyone to see if picking up the book is more like picking up a mirror." Howard has been married for six years to Christine, with a son, Trevor, born in February 2000. They live in Weston, Connecticut, after many years in Manhattan.

John Replogle sent details from a mini-reunion in London. On St. Patricks Day he had a group of classmates over for lunch and "a fair few drinks of Irish persuasion." In attendance were: Kim Mango Thompson and her husband, Michael, Saad Iqbal, Rudolph Stewart, Kristen Steck and Amy C. Smith and her husband, Brian. Kim and Michael are attorneys. Kim has stopped practicing and is now president of the Dartmouth Club of London. In the winter she organized an event with Don Pease as guest speaker and partier extraordinaire.

Saad works for one of the big banks doing big deals (sorryjohn can't remember the name as all the banks seem to have merged these days). He is living in New York, but comes to London frequently. "I've not caught up with Saad in years," writes John, "since our old days as disc jockeys at WFRD, the rock of Northern New England."

Rudolph works for United as their financial director and spends a fair amount of time flying back and forth across the Atlantic. Kristen is in great form, is trying to buy a house, works for a Power Development Cos. and is enjoying the good life commuting between London and Bulgaria, where her latest power plant is being built. She is also going to run the London Marathon in April. Go Kristen!

Amy and her husband both have their Ph.D.s and are professors in the Oxford area. They love living out in the country and filled the table with incredible insights into the world of language, lexicon and its origin (their field of expertise). Finally, Mike Andrews and Elizabeth "Bet- sy Apple" Fee weren't able to make it. Mike has a large and growing family and is up to his ears in work. Elizabeth, who is Johns neighbor, works for Cisco but is just about to leave for an extended world tour with her husband and daughter Shannon (who is a classmate of Johns daughters). They will be settling back into Palo Alto in September.

Finally, news of the Replogles themselves: John and Kristin had ababy on February 13. Sarah Paige Replogle was born at St. Mary's hospital in London and she and her mom are doing spectaculary well. Her older sisters Tate (5) and Grace (4) have made her very welcome in her new home.
