Entering Dartmouth this fall of'01 is Mike Turner, "one of the top defenseman in New England prep school hockey...a physically imposing left-shot defenseman...a smooth skating player who has the ability to jump the puck up offensively but also sets the tone defensively with his physical play"—of course he does, as did his father, Michael Turner, captain of the 1972 Dartmouth hockey team and the leading scorer of the 1970,1971 and 1972 teams.
In the "In case you missed it" category—Bill Schlesinger was named dean of Dukes Nicholas School of the Environment and Earth Sciences. Bill's taught at Duke since 1980 and is the James B. Duke Professor of Botany and was formerly an assistant professor at UC Santa Barbara.
