March is behind us. Not a particularly bad month but with many unusually cold blustery days which made January seem mild in comparison. With the confusion and chaos existing today, there are few reasons to rejoice. However there are many encouraging signs. Scientists are exploring the vast sources of potential energy that we know about such as coal, with gasification and liquifaction into oil, billions of barrels of oil shale and oil tar sands, solar energy, winds and tides, to name a few. We hope, the technologists will always have in mind the protection of our environment which they have not done in the past.

News of the Class is scarce but here is a little: Mrs. David E. Adams, widow of our classmate Dave Adams of Columbus, Ohio, died in March of this year. Bill Davis (Dr. William L. Davis) now resides at 18 Thoreau St. in Concord, Mass 01742. Andy Comstock roosts high in the Bixby-Knolls Towers in Long Beach, Calif.

Al Urion has deserted his home town of Chicago and now resides in Rancho Mirage, Calif. George Styles is in the Libbe Convalescent Center on Broad St., Richmond, Va. 23226 and would be pleased to hear from his friends.

Carl Shumway's new address is c/o James Schwarm, 7 Ripley Road, Hanover, N.H., very near to Freddie Page and Bob Conant.

A card from Ruth Gay King on a round the world trip, post-marked Mombasa, Kenya. Ruth said they crossed the equator last night (March 7) and were due to dock at Mombasa the next morning. She said that they were having a fine trip.

Last but not least, as we are all aware, the colleges of this country are facing a critical year. Dartmouth is no exception. This is a real challenge and we will face it. The Class has responded nobly thus far according to MiltAronowitz but it's not enough. In this year of crisis 1913 will respond as it has always done.
