DARTMOUTH'S REUNION SEASON GOT UNDERWAY JUNE 8 WITH 14 classes gathering during the 10 days of festivities. On hand were the classes of 1931, '36, '41,46, '51, '56, '61, '66, '71, '76, '85, '86, '87 and '96, swelling the campus population by more than 3,900. The class of' 76 formed the largest concingent, bringing 721 alumni and guests to the Hanover Plain.

Alumni participated in all the reunion staples—from road races and golf to socializing at the many receptions. But the festivities didn't stop there. Among the more unusual highlights were kayaking lessons for kids and a dinner on the Baker Lawn, a reunion first. Bill King '56 and wife Betsy even celebrated their 45 th wedding anniversary with a photo reenactment of their wedding party (photo below).

Alumni were also busy giving back to the College. In all they donated more than $17 million, with the class of'51 setting a new reunion record with a gift of $6.4 million.
