Greetings: This has been a slow couple of months for news of the class. Usually I receive bits and pieces from the College that have been gleaned from a number of sources telling of accomplishments by various classmates. As of this morning, the well is dry, so I take the opportunity to ask any of you with information that you may want to share, please take advantage of my e-mail address at the end of the column so I won't be in this situation again!

I can pass along that class president Sandy Helve and the executive committee will be letting the class know that they have some possibilities in the works for future class projects. I'm sure you will be hearing more on that in mailings from her. At present the class sponsors the Class of 1976 Award, which is presented annually to the outstanding female athlete at the College, and we currently fund two scholarships at the College, which are targeted first for offspring of classmates and then for other eligible recipients.

For those of us with high school juniors in our families, the college search is just cranking up. I know Fern Bennett is in the midst of the application process with her daughter, Nani, and David C. Clark is doing the same for his son, Curran. Fern lives in York, Maine, and Dave is in the St. Louis metro area. The College figures into the application process for both of their children.

Please send news of promotions, marriages, births, significant accomplishments, etc. that I can pass along in the Alumni Magazine. If you don't, I may have to resort to grabbing pieces from our reunion book or other sources that may not be as reliable, so help me out. In the meantime, enjoy your families and take the time to appreciate life.
