Overwhelmed with news.Take your marks. GO!

President Bags Mitchell reports on the new Dartmouth Skiing history exhibit at the Skiway. Sportin' some pretty fine 'doos are Tim Kelly, Jeff Kahl, Tim Moerlein, Bryan Wagner and Robert "Last Pic in the Freshman Book" Zinck Jr., along with oldsters from the '76 NCAA championship team. Lookin' like the picture was taken last year is Hanover's own Dale "Penny" Breed with the women's team of'76. Penny is now chasing her own kids through the gates on Wordens' Schuss.

Speaking of Wordens, Dr. Joan Crane Barthold was seen forerunning the Winter Carnival GS in February—that's enough to make recently renewed masters racer Jim Feuille jealous. Exchanged e-mails with Dave Daniels. His Pawling, New York, law practice is doing well. He and wife Susan are busy raising their five kids: Matt (18), Meghan (15), Emma, Erin and Kara (all 10). For those who don't do math, Dave and Susans third pregnancy was triplets! Susan is director of admissions and teaches some classes at Mizzentop Day School, a small private school that Susan co-founded with Daves sister-in-law. Dave also coaches the girls' basketball team, tries to play the guitar (his goal is to someday jam with Ben Riley) and does yoga to keep sane (it works almost as well as beer pong, but without the nutritional benefits of hops and barley).

Congratulations to Elizabeth Arledge, recipient of a 2001 Science-in-Society Journalism Award. According to the press release, Betsey received the award for her efforts in a two-hour documentary on the intimidating topic of molecular biology. She co-produced NOVA's Cracking theCode of Life, which "presented the complex story of the sequencing of the human genome with accuracy, a noted in quisitiveness, and even humor. Judges particularly commended the producers for clearly elucidating the biological, cultural and social ramifications of this intricate endeavor. For those coming to this multifaceted topic with an incomplete grasp of the science and other complexities, it was a splendid primer on perhaps the most important science story of the year." Wow! Thanks to Anna Burack Wilson for pointing us to this achievement.

In caseyou missed it, Eugene "Buddy" Teevens 111 was named head football coach at Stanford University. Buddy has been a head college coach for 12 years and most recently was on Steve Spurrier's staff at the University of Florida the past three seasons (1999-2001). In three years at Florida the Gator offense ranked among the top two in the Southeastern Conference in both total offense and passing offense, and among the top 10 in the nation in passing offense. Buddy and his wife, Kirsten, have children Lindsay (15) and Eugene IV (13).

Some great postings on the class Web page at www.happy.dartmouth.org/classes/79, including latest class newsletter plus pics and commentary on the mini-reunion held at Bag's house before the Brown hockey game. CTO (class technology officer) Michael McCoy reports that we achieved a significant milestone toward a more complete class e-mail directory. As of February we had 601 entries in the directory, which means that we've added about 130 entries in less than three months. A class-wide e-mail went out in March asking everyone to send in addresses for the A-K MIAs, which should generate another wave of names and a lighter wallet for officers Feuille and Mitchell (see the Feuille/Mitchell challenge on our class Web page).

Finally, don't forget about the mini-reunion in Hanover the weekend of July 11-13. We are bridging the classes of 1954 and 2004- Should be great fun and great weather.

Whew! That's it. Keep em coming!
